An Ohio witness southbound along Route 23 between
South Bloomfield and Circleville reported a "triangular-shaped object with
six lights pulsating and hovering over a field near Haggerty Road" about
7:10 p.m. on February 3, 2014, according to testimony from Case 53899 in the Mutual
UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was driving home from work when she looked
out a window at passing cars and noticed lights first thought to be part of a
tower.
"As my car approached, my thought process went
from tower light, to airplane, to 'No it's stationary, maybe a helicopter with
a search light?'"
But then the witness took another look.
"Once the three lights at each peak of the
triangle were visible, it was clearly a triangle-shaped something. So I tried
to slow down to turn around, and yes, it is definitely a triangular-shaped
'hover-crafty' aircraft of some sorts."
The witness watched the light configuration.
"The lights lit up one by one, and then pulsated,
more like, peaks and then troughs. Once all the lights were lit, it glowed a
bit stronger. I was watching it - slash whipping my head back to the road - in
quick intervals for quite some time."
The witness made a telephone car from her vehicle to
report the object while attempting to locate it.
"I talk to him until it's out over my 'trying to
drive while rubbernecking' perspective, and turn shortly after that to the
Court Street entrance near Sevan's. I do a U-turn and look for it, but it's
gone. I drove up to Hagerty Road and looked through the field and saw nothing.
Afterwards, I continued home on the phone describing it, came home and drew a
few sketches."
No images or sketches were included with the report. Circleville is a city and the county seat of Pickaway
County, OH, population 13,314. Ohio is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a low number of UFO sightings
nationally. Ohio had 12 reports in January 2014 - while California had 102
reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.
