Some
of you know about Bashar. I have always found him intriguing because he never
crosses up what he has said previously. For those of you who do not know,
Bashar is an extraterrestrial from Essassani. He says he is from our future and
he came back to thank us. So saying that I wanted to relate what he has said
about Essassani.
LIFE ON ESSASSANI
November 1987: You said that you've been observing our culture for thousands of years?
I was speaking collectively. Not my society specifically, but many of the societies
within the Association of Worlds have, yes.
Living the life that you're living now, do you experience time in the same
linear dimension that we experience it?
Somewhat, but not exactly. Our ability to communicate with you right now shows
that we experience it somewhat differently. For colloquially speaking, we are
actually of your future. Therefore, in a sense you could say we are speaking
backwards in time. Because we still have a physicality somewhat, the idea is
that we do perceive motions of time to some degree. It is very pliable and
malleable for us, because our society's transformation now involves going from
physicality to complete non-physicality.
So from your viewpoint you can tell what the transformational age has
accomplished?
Somewhat, here and there. Not everything will be apparent to us. Each time we
tap into the flow we may perceive very different things. But some general
overall patterns and flows are observable to us because of our vantage point.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS
I wonder if you could describe for us the planet on which you live; how large
it is; how far it is from your central sun, the time periods for your year and
your day... and some of the physical aspects of your life.
Bashar: On a level from which you are able to perceive us physically, we consider
ourselves to be beings similar to your own species, although somewhat
different. Our physiological form is generally as follows: we are approximately
5 feet of height in your counting; white/whiteish-gray skin coloration; very
wide upturned eyes. The pupil of our eye encompasses most of the eye, and
because of our enlarged pupil it would appear as if our eyes are almost black.
Actually they are not; most of them tend toward gray in coloration.
The males usually have no hair; females generally will have some, tending to be
whitish in color, although there are exceptions. If you wish some type of
comparative analogy between our civilization and a species of your
civilization, you could use the idea of Mongolian and you would be close, but
not exact. We are relatively slender, relatively frail as you would understand
that idea, as we move from physicality to non-physicality.
In our ancient language, which we no longer use as we are telepathic, our
planet is named Essassani. As our people are Sassani, and Es means place, this
translates out in your language to "place of living light." Since it
is our understanding that all beings are made of living light, we have called
our world thus.
Our planet is not too dissimilar to your own, although a tiny bit smaller. What
you would call our gravitational component is approximately 85% of your own. We
do not really follow the flow of keeping track of time, but since we do have a
physicalized world, and since a day is simply a single rotation upon its axis
of the planet, we do have days. They are slightly longer than yours,
approximately 25 of your hours. However, our year is much longer, being that
we, in your terms, have an approximately 120 million mile radius from our
central star. Thus our year is approximately 454 of your days of counting. Our
sun is much hotter than yours; hence the diameter of our orbit is broader.
Therefore, my age is approximately 139 of my years, but more like 160 of yours,
allowing for the variation in our time stream.
Essassani is park-like and very green, our central star being yellowish-green.
The idea is that we have no major structures on our planet at this time. In
population, the majority of our civilization, which does not number very much
-- at least not in terms of your world -- exists in what you would call city
ships, or large space craft. The surface of the planet itself has been left
more for recreational purposes at this time. With a very slight adjustment your
species would find it most comfortable.
Our axis tilt is not very much -- approximately 3 to 4 degrees at the most.
Therefore we maintain a relatively constant temperature. We do not have the
wide variation in seasons that your civilization experiences. In fact it never
varies more than 13 degrees around the average tem
perature of approximately 72
of our degrees Fahrenheit. The idea is that you would find it most comfortable.
It would be a bit more rich in oxygen, to some degree. You may be a little
lightheaded here for a while, but adjustments could be made.
Our permanent population is approximately between 200 and 250 million by your
counting. There are many other species from other civilizations that come and
go on our planet at various times for various reasons. Our city ships range
anywhere from one to ten of your miles in length, and contain several hundred
thousand individuals at a time. These ships and the large population on them is
for the purpose of exploring different areas of the galaxy, for
inter-dimensional penetration, and for communication with various
civilizations. These make up what we call The Association of Worlds, numbering
approximately 360 worlds so far. The ships are also for exploring and
contacting new civilizations such as your own -- new to us, that is.
Could you tell us how far your planet is from us, and in what direction we
would look to see where you're going to be?
