Fifth case: Another California witness describes helicopter chasing UFO

A fifth witness in the Anaheim, CA, area reports watching a helicopter apparently chasing a white light, according to March 3, 2014, testimony in Case 54430 from the MutualUFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
This becomes the fifth case describing a helicopter chasing a light or sphere-shaped object in a 16-day period. Case 54101 occurred on February 15, 2014, in Orange County, CA; Case 54167 occurred on February 19, 2014, in Anaheim, CA. Case 54168 occurred on February 19, 2014, in Anaheim Hills, CA; and Case 54345 occurred on February 27, 2014; in Anaheim Hills. This latest case was reported to have occurred on February 11, 2014. The witness left his home and was driving along Santa Ana Canyon Road about 6:24 when the helicopter was first seen.
"I noticed a single light traveling east being followed by a helicopter," the witness stated. "The helicopter and its structure were clearly visible against a backdrop of high clouds, and the helicopter displayed two sets of lights, one in the rear and one in the front with some solid lights and some flashing."
The helicopter appeared to stay close to the light.
"The helicopter was following the light ahead at a fairly close distance, maybe as little as 100 feet. The helicopter was changing position in relationship to the object as if trying to view it from different angles."
The witness described the light.
"The light did not have any associated structure, only just the light. I would have been able to see any unlit structure since I could clearly see the entire helicopter against the backdrop of the cloud cover reflecting the city lights. They were flying at a high speed, moving from my position east through the canyon and into the Corona area in the time it took me to drive a few blocks at 45 to 50 mph. They flew out of sight to the east."
All five cases are currently under investigation by Southern California MUFON. Anaheim is a city in Orange County, CA, population 336,265. Anaheim Hills is an affluent community along the eastern portions of Anaheim.
California has a UFO Alert Rating of 3 with a high number of recent reports nationally. California had 59 reports during January 2014 - the highest reporting state in the nation.
