Quem são os verdadeiros Ufólogos?

Os biólogos são as pessoas que estudam e fazem observações directas dos seres vivos, da mesma forma os botânicos são as pessoas que estudam e fazem observações directas das plantas e, apenas citando mais um - os microbiólogos são as pessoas que estudam e fazem observações directas dos microorganismos.

Podemos imaginar qualquer uma destas pessoas a tentar construir teorias sobre os seus assuntos de interesse sem fazer uma observação sistemática e directa dos mesmos?

Podemos fazer uma analogia entre Darwin a fazer observações directas  e pessoais dos seres vivos e, em seguida, a cristalizar as suas idéias sobre a evolução.

Mas,  regra geral e com muito poucas excepções, todos os ufólogos nunca fizeram observações directas dos seus temas de interesse; basearam-se, apenas, em "relatórios de avistamentos" de terceiros. Será que podemos imaginar um biólogo a elaborar qualquer teoria válida sobre animais baseando-se, apenas, em “relatórios de avistamentos" de animais feitos por observadores não qualificados?

Para exemplificar, imaginem um biólogo a tentar construir uma teoria sistemática sobre aves, usando "relatórios de avistamentos" de aves:

   - Algumas pessoas irão relatar que as aves são "inteligentes", porque algumas podem repetir palavras humanas.

   - Outras pessoas informarão que algumas aves estão sob "controlo inteligente", porque demonstram uma capacidade de manobra incrível durante o voo.

   - Outras ainda, dirão que as aves são "humanóides", porque  se deslocam em posição erecta, sobre duas pernas ...

A semelhança entre os “relatórios de avistamentos de OVNIs" e o exemplo anterior, não é mera coincidência.

Basear-se apenas em “relatórios de avistamentos,” é uma maneira segura de ter uma ideia errada do que estamos a tentar estudar.

Mas agora sabemos que o que tem sido designado como UFOs, durante anos, está fortemente relaccionado com "anomalias" e esses objectos autónomos podem ser observados sistematicamente, utilizando um equipamento muito simples.

Então, se pretender ser chamado de "ufólogo" e  não estiver a fazer observações sistemáticas de anomalias, poderemos acreditar em qualquer das suas teorias?

Será possível fazer alguma descoberta importante em qualquer área que tenha "assuntos de interesse", sem que haja uma observação directa e um estudo desses assuntos?

A História da Ufologia mostra claramente que, sem um estudo directo desses objectos, o que vamos conseguir serão mitos e teorias da conspiração - não será ciência.

Já é hora de começar a fazer da Ufologia uma verdadeira ciência com temas concretos de interesse: as anomalias.

Por enquanto, será uma ciência baseada  na observação directa dessas anomalias e a tirar conclusões que se fundamentam exclusivamente, nessas mesmas observações, como acontece com a Biologia, ou com  qualquer outra ciência que tem os seus "assuntos de interesse".

Who are the Real Ufologos? 

Biologists are the people that study and make direct observations of living beings, similarly botanists are the people that study and make direct observations of plants, just mentioning one more: microbiologists are the people that study and make direct observations of microorganisms.

Can we imagine any of these people trying to build theories about their subjects of interest without a systematic and direct observation of these subjects?

We can make a direct connection between Darwin making direct/personal observations of living beings and then crystalizing his ideas about evolution.

But as a rule, with very few exceptions, all Ufologos had never make direct observations of their subjects of interest, they had relayed in third party "sightings reports". Can we imagine a biologist making any valid theory of animals basing it in "sightings reports" of animals made by unprepared observers?

As an illustration of this, imagine a biologist trying to build a systematic theory of birds using "sightings reports" of birds:

- Some people will report that birds are "smart" because some birds can repeat human words.

- Some people will report that some birds are under "intelligent control" because they show amazing manoeuvring capabilities in fly.

- Some people will say that birds are "humanoid" because they move in an erect position with two legs ...

The similarity between "UFO sightings reports" and the previous example is not coincidence. Relaying in "sightings reports" only is a sure way to get a wrong idea of what you are trying to study.

But we now know that what have been called UFOs for years is strongly related to "anomalies" and these autonomous objects can be observed systematically using very simple equipment.

So if you pretend to be called "Ufologo" and you are not doing systematic observations of anomalies, then can we believe any of your theories?

Can anybody make any meaningful breakthrough in any area that have "subjects of interest" without a direct observation and study of these subjects?

The history of Ufology clearly shows that without a direct study of these objects what we will get will be myths and conspiracy theories, no science. A

It is already time to start making Ufology in a real science with concrete subjects of interest: anomalies.

A science based for now in direct observations of these anomalies and making conclusions that are based exclusively in these observations, as Biology or any other science that have its "subjects of interest".
