Witness unsure what triangle object is caught on camera
May 9, 2014
An Alabama witness at Lake View is looking for an explanation after catching a triangle-shaped object that appears to be hovering above his home driveway on three motion-activated video cameras, according to May 9, 2014, testimony in Case 56129 from the MutualUFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness had gone to bed when the cameras were rolling the night of May 5, 2014, and the early morning hours of May 6, 2014.
The cameras "recorded a triangular object hovering above my driveway on three different times," the witness stated. "They were 1930.57 on May 5, 2014; 2230.30 on May 5, 14; 0127.52 on May 6, 14; and 0503.45 on May 6, 2014. Each video recorded for 40 seconds."
The witness described the object.
"During each recording the object did not move. It appeared to just hover above my driveway with lights shining. One light can be seen projected in my front yard using another camera - the bluish looking one."
The witness did not see the objects.
"I did not witness this because I went to sleep around 11 p.m. I do recall my dog starting to bark around the time the object first appeared right before I went to bed. I didn't think nothing of it at the time."
The witness included five images with the MUFON report, which was filed on May 9, 2014. One of the images is a daylight reference shot of the same area. Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, Image 4 and Image 5.
Lake View is a town in Tuscaloosa County, AL, population 1,357. Alabama has a current UFO Alert Rating of 5 with a low number of recent reports nationally. Alabama had 10 UFO reports in April 2014 - the 20th highest reporting state - while California had 80 reports - the highest reporting state in the nation. The above quotes were edited for clarity.
Please be very cautious of video surveillance photography as they usually have man-made or Mother Nature explanations. Alabama MUFON is investigating and we will update this story when the case is completed.
