A Kansas witness at Topeka is hoping there are more witnesses after he stopped his vehicle to watch three lights hovering above nearby trees about 9:20 p.m. on May 27, 2014, according to testimony in Case 56658 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was driving along a street heading toward Lake Shawnee when the lights were first seen.
"I pulled over and watched for a few minutes by the dam," the witness stated. "It didn't seem to move."
The witness then got back into his vehicle and moved to a spot closer to the object at 29th Street and West Edge Road.
"By the time I got to that location it was gone. Not really sure what it was."
The witness is hoping more witnesses come forward and possibly with an explanation as to what the object was.

"It was rather weird. Lots of people should have seen it as the boy's and girl's softball diamonds had games going and the lake was pretty busy with people."
Topeka is the capital city of Kansas, population 127,473. Kansas MUFON is investigating. Kansas has a current UFO Alert Rating of 5 with a low number of recent reports nationally. Kansas had 4 UFO reports in April 2014 - the 39th highest reporting state - while California had 80 reports - the highest reporting state in the nation. The above quotes were edited for clarity.
