Frank Reitemeyer one of the most prominent ufologists in Germany began a legal battle in 2011 to get classified UFO documents made public by court order.
Reitemeyer, a German citizen has won his first battle in an effort to view UFO reports created by the Scientific Service of the German Parliament (aka Bundestag). The Berlin Administrative Court has ruled that a German citizen has the right to read the document as requested. Legally Reitemeyer could force the German Government to Disclose all or a portion of their UFO files.
The Bundestag is appealing the decision, sending it to the Supreme Administrative Court of Berlin for a final decision. The government claimed that Germany has never officially investigated the UFO phenomena.
However, other European nations, such as Britain and France have not only investigated UFO sightings but have had departments dedicated to that effort. This is precisely what inspired German citizen Frank Reitemeyer in his quest to seek out Germany's UFO Disclosure.
