Witnesses
driving through Bethlehem, NH, said traffic around them was slamming on their
brakes to get a look at a triangle-shaped UFO with
three white lights hovering under 1,000 feet overhead about 5:32 p.m. on
February 6, 2014, according to testimony in Case 53945 from the Mutual UFO
Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The
reporting witness was driving near dusk when the "odd white lights"
were seen hovering between 500 and 1,000 feet overhead.
"Several
other drivers noticed and pulled over and slammed on their brakes," the
witness stated. "We continued driving, however, to try to get to a better
spot."
The
witness drove closer to the object.
"You
could see three distinct white lights forming a triangle shape with a faint
triangular outline that blended in with the sky, but you could tell there was
something there."
The
witness described the object's movement.
"The
object hovered in place for maybe a minute, and then it shot up vertically into
the air at an incredible speed, ascending maybe 30,000 feet in half a second.
It then made an abrupt right angle turn northerly and disappeared."
Bethlehem is a town in Grafton County, NH, population
2,526. New Hampshire has a UFO Alert Rating of 5 with a low number of recent reports. New
Hampshire was the 41st highest reporting state with 3 reports in January 2014 -
while California had 102 reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.
