Two Tennessee witnesses traveling west along Highway 27 in Crossville reported watching and videotaping a hovering, triangle-shaped UFO with flashing lights that was less than 100 feet off of the ground, according to February 23, 2014, testimony in Case 54221 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
They first noticed blinking lights in the sky and that the object appeared to be slow moving about 10:35 a.m. on February 22, 2014.
"About that time we noticed that it was uncomfortably close, so I pulled over and we watched this craft basically hover right over us (east) and past us," the reporting witness stated. "We were travelling about 55 mph when we noticed the craft. It appeared massive in comparison to us."
The witness described the craft's lighting.
"The craft seemed to be lined with yellow and red and some lights which shimmered in a weird way which was unlike the blinking lights of an airplane, where some yellow lights seemed not to waver in intensity."
They also noticed beams of light coming from the object.

"Additionally there appeared to be beams of light coming from the bottom of the craft which were much dimmer, but larger. It literally looked like two search lights were mounted on it."
After the object passed, the two continued driving, but telephoned friends, who also reported seeing an unusual object, but in a different location.
The witness uploaded two videos - the first is a video that they shot at their location; and the second is from a nearby location that their friend's shot: Video 1 and Video 2.
"Our video is included as well as the other from Crossville tonight, neither of which are substantial in my unprofessional opinion."
Crossville is the county seat of Cumberland County, TN, population 10,795. Tennessee had 5 UFO reports in January 2014 - the 34th highest reporting state - while California had 102 reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.

The above quotes were edited for clarity. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or man-made. If Tennessee MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.
